When creating an image to be on my front cover , I did various research on other girl groups in the media who are included in the pop, RnB genre but are also fashionable and sexy such as Pussycat Dolls, Girls Aloud etc. From doing my research i also wanted to create an artist who would fit this genre of music by the red lipstick, dark mysterious eyes, and black dresses. As of the genre being pop and RnB i also wanted to portray a yuong, fresh, fun element to the magazine by the girls facial expressions and poses.

For the masthead of my magazine i chose an eye catching bold font which is slightly eroding which creates an edgey atmosphere.

For my double page spread I decided to make an image the main focus making it the complete background across the two pages. At the bottom of the page i also added two small pictures of the girls which is conventional to a music magazine and to help illustrate their fun happy personality i want the readers to see aswell as there glamourous lifestyle. I then created an interview which is along both sides and the bottom of the page in an informal friendly tone to insure my target audience both understand it and want to read it. Also to illustrate the chatty bubbly personality of the band i wanted to portray.

As of the genre of my magazine combines both music and fashion, i wanted to include a fashion element into my interview by relating questions to the not only individual voices but fashion choices and the different trends they follow. I then included quotes form the girls, that gives a personal touch and attracts the reader into the answers the girls give and makes the reader feel more involved in thier lifestyle.
For my contents the layout i have chosen typically follows a music magazine with the writing going down the left side of the page and an image of the artist next to this. i decided upon this basic layout so it dosent look cluttered and is easier to read to appeal to my target audience. The image i have chosen captures the audience as of its main focus but dosent take away the attention of the text. I got inspiration from fashion magazine such as vogue to incorporate a sense of style to this page. I incorporated boxes around certain words and filled them red to bring colour and illustrate the playfull and fun concept to this magazine. I chose the colour red to also show the fashion concept as it being associated with sexy, edgey and glamourous.
